In 2019 I was exploring my options around retirement and Medicare. I met Elizabeth at a local store kiosk where she was helping anyone who stopped understand their Medicare choices. I knew this was something my wife and I would have to make decisions around as I was turning 65 next year. After a visit to our home, Elizabeth explained how I could remain on my work insurance and not turn on Medicare until I wanted to do so. Later in October 2020, during the height of Covid, my wife and I decided that I should turn on Medicare. I called social security, who sent the necessary paperwork to activate Medicare. Unfortunately, the local social security offices were closed, and the paperwork was routed to an automated collection area. Due to Covid in late November, I still didn't have my Medicare turned on, but my health insurance was scheduled to end on December 31. Unfortunately, I came down with Covid in early December, and my wife and I were quarantined in our house and could not leave. Elizabeth sent the necessary paperwork to the manager and coordinated with the closed Social Security Office to get our Medicare in place for January 1. Then coordinated with the Medicare supplement insurance company to accept my application without a Medicare number or confirmed traditional Medicare. Everything worked out perfectly. And she hasn't stopped there by helping us fund a life insurance plan to cover both of us with final expenses and a safety net we can rely on throughout our lives.

I called my health insurance company to complain that my Medicare Supplement was canceled without cause. Although not my agent of record, Elizabeth called me back and took up my cause. She spent many hours with the company over issues of law, timing, and what was right. Unfortunately, the company did not respond and closed my case. Undeterred, Elizabeth encouraged me to complain to the state insurance commission then spoke to them directly on my behalf. The state of Pennsylvania responded to the case and forced the company to put my Medigap health insurance into place retroactively. This would not have been possible without Elizabeth. I would recommend her to anyone.
